A Professional Engineer Member shall be a Professional Engineer as defined by the holding of a valid license or certificate of engineering registration issued under the laws of any state, territory, possession or district of the United States or Canada.

An Engineer Intern Member shall be an Engineer Intern, or equivalent holding a valid certificate issued under the laws of any state, territory, possession or district of the United States or Canada.

An Associate Member shall be a graduate engineer qualified to be admitted to examination as an Engineer Intern as defined in Chapter 471.013 of the Florida Statutes but who does not hold a valid certificate as an Engineer Intern-in-Training in any state, territory, possession or district of the United States or Canada.

A Retired Member shall be fully retired from the practice of engineering and/or active practice and

(a) be at least 62 years of age and have paid dues for the five preceding years; or

(b) be at least 58 years of age and meet the years of continuous membership set forth in the Life Membership requirement.

A Respect Member (Retired Special Transfer) (a) shall be at least 65 years of age, (b) shall have retired from the active practice of professional engineering, and (c) shall have been made a Life Member of the National Society of Professional Engineers through the membership in a State Society other than the Florida Engineering Society.

Membership Dues

The Florida Engineering Society collects and distributes dues for your FES, NSPE, local chapter and state practice section memberships. All FES members residing in Florida belong to NSPE, a local chapter and a state practice section.
